12th Czech Energy Congress

EFFICIENT AND SECURE ENERGY SECTOR

27th – 28th March 2012, Marriott Hotel, Prague

The 12th Czech Energy Congress is held under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Nečas.

The keynote speaker will be Professor Dieter Helm, a distinct British economist and the Associate of the Smith´s School of Enterprise, University of Oxford, a recognised expert in the energy future development and economic impact of environmental impacts.

The key topics:

  • Vision for energy development in Europe in the face of the eurozone crisis - approach and interests of selected European countries – opportunities and risks
  • Acceptable trajectories for development of the Czech energy sector from the aspect of economic prosperity
    and energy security
  • How does the free market cope with the financial, economic and climate crisis? Will the crisis impact the Temelin nuclear project? What are the financial risks associated with the Temelin nuclear project?
  • Energy storage technologies – traditional and future

The working languages are Czech and English, with simultaneous interpreting provided
