Michael Bez is responsible for the business segment of “Digital Utilities” at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. In this position he is responsible for the strategy, setup and management of new business models as well as digital capabilities with regards to sales, grids, trading and business models beyond. Michael also manages inorganic growth as well as the connection to startups. Prior he served as Head of Top-Corporate Project “Virtual Powerplants – VPP”, setting up a team, a greenfield digital utility and business models in order to tackle decentral and digital energy. Before joining EnBW in the innovation management department Michael worked together with the group expert for energy economics and policy in the strategy, energy policy and sustainability department of EnBW.
Michael holds a diploma in engineering and studied at the University of Stuttgart and at the Technical University in Istanbul.
